Traditionally Docked Dog Breeds
As of June 2022, the AKC registers 200 dog breeds. Eighty (40%) of them are traditionally docked and they continue to add more. Some, like Corgis, are graded harshly in competitions for not having properly docked tails. Excerpt from the AKC Pembroke Welch Corgi Breed Standard: "Tail-Docked as short as possible without being indented."
Approximately
three-fourths of all Corgie's are born with tails.
